The Lunia of India

The Lunia of India, numbering approximately 3,875,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a community of Uttar Pradesh whose name recalls lavana (salt), one of their traditional trades alongside masonry and brick-making. Most now hold small landholdings or salaried jobs.
They are an Indigenous people in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Awadhi is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
