The Semnani of Iran

The Semnani of Iran, numbering approximately 22,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached.
They are described as a small Iranian (Caspian) ethnic group indigenous to northern Iran, centered in and around the city and province of Semnan, on the northern edge of the central Iranian plateau just south of the Caspian Sea. They are also known as samani mertimüni, سمنی مرتمونی.
They are an Indigenous people in the Persian people cluster of the Persian-Median Peoples affinity bloc.
Semnani is their primary language and Shia Islam is their primary religion.

The Semnani are No Longer Unreached, which means there are more than 2% evangelical Christian populations and there are churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice. There is still more to be done among them.
