They are described as one of five dialects of Bima (bhp), a language of Indonesia (Nusa Tenggara).
They are an Indigenous people in the Bali-Sasak people cluster of the Malay Peoples affinity bloc.
Bima is their primary language and Sunni Islam is their primary religion.
