The East Indian Muslims of Suriname, numbering approximately 32,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as an indigenous community of Suriname and can also be known as Caribbean Hindi.
They are an Indigenous people, with Indo-Caribbean (Sarnami) as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Indo-Caribbean people cluster of the South Asian Peoples.
Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni.
They primarily speak Sranan Tongo.
