They are described as an indigenous community of Zambia; a dialect subgroup of Nkoya (nka).
They are an Indigenous people in the Bantu, Central-South people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples affinity bloc.
Nkoya is their primary language and Ethnoreligion is their primary religion.
