They are described as an Indo-Iranian ethnolinguistic group indigenous to the Kutch district of the Indian state of Gujarat and can also be known as Kutchchi, Kautchy, Kachi, Katch, Cuchi, Katchi.
They are an Diaspora people, with Cutch (Kachhi) as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Gujarati people cluster of the South Asian Peoples.
Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni.
They primarily speak Kacchi.
