The Gera of Nigeria

They are described as an ethnic group native to Bauchi State in northeastern Nigeria. They are the traditional inhabitants of the city of Bauchi and surrounding areas in northern Bauchi and southern Ganjuwa districts. They are also known as Fyandigeri.
They are an Indigenous people in the Chadic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples affinity bloc.
Gera is their primary language and Folk Islam is their primary religion.
