The Songhai of Benin

The Songhai of Benin, numbering approximately 11,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached.
They are described as a West African ethnolinguistic group linked to te Songhai Empire that dominated the western Sahel in the 15th and 16th centuries.
They are an Diaspora people in the Songhai people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples affinity bloc.
Songhay, Koyraboro Senni is their primary language and Folk Islam is their primary religion.
