The Zaghawa of Chad

The Zaghawa of Chad, numbering approximately 230,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a large ethnic sub-group of the Beri (Kige), a semi-nomadic community indigenous to southwestern Libya, northeastern Chad, and western Sudan. They are also known as Beri.
They are an Indigenous people in the Kanuri-Saharan people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples affinity bloc.
Zaghawa is their primary language and Sunni Islam is their primary religion.

The Zaghawa are Unengaged and Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations among which there are no known efforts focused on establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.
