The Silver Palaung of Myanmar, numbering approximately 272,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as one of Myanmar's most ancient indigenous peoples, many have fled from Shan and Kachin states to Thailand to escape persecution and are living in refugee camps and can also be known as Bonglong, Pale Palaung, Ruchinrg, Pale Da'Ang.
They are an Indigenous people, with Palaung as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples.
Their primary religion is Buddhism - Theravada.
They primarily speak Palaung, Ruching.
