They are described as a Mongolian tribe living in the midst of countless small Tibetan clans and can also be known as Arig Tibetan, Sokwo Arik.
They are an Indigenous people, with Sogwo Arig as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Tibetan people cluster of the Tibetan / Himalayan Peoples.
Their primary religion is Buddhism - Tibetan.
They primarily speak Tibetan, Amdo.
