They are described as a distinct subgroup of the Achang ethnic people of southwest China, centered in Husa (户撒) in Longchuan County, Dehong Dai–Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province and can also be known as [no data].
They are an Indigenous people, with Achang as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Other Tibeto-Burmese people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples.
Their primary religion is Mahayana Buddhism.
They primarily speak Achang.
