The Portuguese community in Macau traces to its history as a Portuguese colony but has declined since the colony returned to Chinese control. They are an Diaspora people, in the Portuguese, European people cluster of the Eurasian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Roman Catholicism. They primarily speak Portuguese.
