They are a diaspora community of Fijians of South Asian (Indian) descent who settled in Canada primarily from the late 1980s onward. They are an Diaspora people, in the Fiji people cluster of the Pacific Islander Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Hinduism - Folk. They primarily speak Fiji Hindi.
