They are a First Nations and Native American people whose traditional territory spans the Canada-US boundary in Washington state and unceeded British Columbia in the Okanagan Country region. and can also be known as Okanagon, Suknaqinx. They are an Indigenous people, in the North American Indigenous people cluster of the North American Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Protestantism. They primarily speak English.
