The Sagharias of India

The Sagharias of India, numbering approximately 125 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a community of Diu and adjacent Gujarat districts who migrated from Punjab by way of Rajasthan in the fifteenth century, also called Brahm Kshatriya. Turtle-shell bangle-making remains their distinctive craft, alongside service. They are an Indigenous people in the Rajput people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Gujarati and their primary religion is Hinduism.
