The Haluadas of India

The Haluadas of India, numbering approximately 7,400 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a small Hindu community of Tripura, also known as Chasidas. Their name derives from the plough they use to farm. The Haluadas were traditionally cultivators with women skilled in embroidery and men in basketry. They are an Indigenous people in the Bengali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Bengali and their primary religion is Hinduism.
