The Caki of India

The Caki of India, numbering approximately 1,300 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a small Sunni Muslim community of the Kutch district of Gujarat who trace their origin to the Sumra of Sindh. Traditionally oil-pressers organized into fifteen clans, many now work as agricultural laborers or in salaried jobs. They are an Indigenous people in the Sindhi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Kacchi and their primary religion is Sunni Islam.
