The Ontaris of India, numbering approximately 128,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a section of the Kapu community in Andhra Pradesh's Godavari agency tracts, honored with their title for bravery under Sri Krishna Devaraya's sixteenth-century army. Landowning agriculture remains their primary livelihood. They are an Indigenous people in the Telugu people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Telugu and their primary religion is Hinduism.
