The Bagal of India

The Bagal of India, numbering approximately 6,700 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a traditional cowherding community of Bihar and Odisha who call themselves Krishna Gop and trace their origin to a legend of Lord Krishna. They are organized into totemic clans and today largely work in agriculture and animal husbandry. They are an Indigenous people in the Bihari people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Odia and their primary religion is Hinduism.
