The Kerala Mudali of India

The Kerala Mudali of India, numbering approximately 11,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Malayalam-speaking weaving community of Tamil Nadu who migrated from Kaveripumpattinam, adopting the title Mudali after the Tamil Mudaliyar. Weaving remains their trade, and though originally Hindu, most are now Christian. They are an Indigenous people in the Malayali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Malayalam and their primary religion is Hinduism.
