The Citrakar of India

The Citrakar of India, numbering approximately 19,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a traditional community of scroll painters and singer‑storytellers from eastern India, most prominently West Bengal and parts of Odisha and present‑day Bangladesh. They are an Indigenous people in the Marathi-Konkani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Bengali and their primary religion is Hinduism.
