The Aguru of India

The Aguru of India, numbering approximately 20,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a caste community of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, the Aguru are Telugu-speaking Hindu cultivators and sellers of betel leaves and vegetables, traditionally engaged in horticulture and now primarily working as agricultural laborers. They are an Indigenous people, in the Bengali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Telugu.
