The Bansi of India, numbering approximately 2,200 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a Scheduled Caste community of temple musicians in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, traditionally flute players attached to temples. They are also known as Dhadhi, speak Chambiali They are an Indigenous people, with Bansi as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Nepali-Pahari people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Chambeali.
