The Adi Dravida of India

The Adi Dravida of India, numbering approximately 11,090,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Tamil- and Kannada-speaking Dalit community of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Puducherry whose name, meaning "first Dravidians," was adopted in the early twentieth century to assert dignity and self-respect. They work mainly as agricultural laborers. They are an Indigenous people in the Tamil people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Tamil and their primary religion is Hinduism.
