They are a social group in Yemen, distinguished from the majority by its members' Negrito-like physical features and stature and can also be known as Al-Muhamasheen, Muhamasheen. They are an Indigenous people, in the Arab, Yemeni people cluster of the Arab World affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni. They primarily speak Arabic, Ta’izzi-Adeni.
