The Muslim Khatri of India, numbering approximately 74,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are described as a Muslim branch of the Khatri trading and cloth-dyeing caste that originated in Punjab and Sindh before converting to Islam under medieval Sufi influence, later settling in Gujarat's Kutch region under its first Jadeja ruler, Khengarji They are an Indigenous people, with Khatri as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Punjabi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. They mostly adhere to Sunni Islam and Kachhi is their primary language.
