The Gullah of United States, numbering approximately 296,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are described as a subgroup of the African American ethnic group who predominantly inhabit the remote barrier islands of South Carolina and Georgia They are an Indigenous people, with Gullah as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Afro-American people cluster of the North American Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism. They primarily speak Sea Island English Creole.
