They are a small ethnoreligious community of Egyptian Jews; most Jews left Egypt in forced migrations in 1957, 1967, and 1973. They are an Indigenous people, in the Jews people cluster of the Jewish Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Judaism. They primarily speak Arabic, Standard.
