The Ghisadi of India

The Ghisadi of India, numbering approximately 19,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a Maharashtrian ironsmithing community, an offshoot of the nomadic Gadolia Lohar of Rajasthan, descended from smiths who once sharpened swords for Rajput soldiers and scattered after the battle of Haldighati They are an Indigenous people, with Ghisadi as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Marathi-Konkani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Mewari.
