The Ellamalawar of India

The Ellamalawar of India, numbering approximately 6,400 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a nomadic Andhra Pradesh community also known as Pujari, named for their traditional occupation of carrying temple idols in procession, and subsisting largely on begging, poultry farming, and priesthood at village deity shrines. They are an Indigenous people in the Kanarese people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Telugu and their primary religion is Hinduism.
