The Dora of India

The Dora of India, numbering approximately 9,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a small community of Bastar district in Madhya Pradesh settled along the Indravati river, divided into the Kuduk Dora and Telga Dora endogamous groups, and traditionally dependent on agriculture supplemented by fishing. They are an Indigenous people in the Marathi-Konkani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Halbi and their primary religion is Hinduism.
