The Bondili of India

The Bondili of India, numbering approximately 3,200 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are described as a Hindi-speaking landowning community of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh who claim Kshatriya descent from Bundelkhand, having migrated south in the sixteenth century. They traditionally worked as cultivators and as guards for zamindars They are an Indigenous people, with Bondili as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Tamil.
