The Gavaria of India, numbering approximately 95,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a Scheduled Caste of Rajasthan also known as Kangar, once nomadic traders in dry fruit and cattle who took up making combs from buffalo horn after the cattle trade was monopolized by the Lavana Banjara They are an Indigenous people, with Gavaria / Gawaria as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Rajasthani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Hinduism. They primarily speak Marwari (India).
