The Jamatia of India, numbering approximately 139,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are described as a Scheduled Tribe of Tripura and among its earliest settlers, speaking the Kakbarak language. They traditionally practiced shifting cultivation and are predominantly Hindu, with some converts to Christianity They are an Indigenous people, with Jamatia as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Hinduism. They primarily speak Kok Borok.
