The Dahait of India

The Dahait of India, numbering approximately 78,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a Scheduled Caste of Madhya Pradesh, an offshoot of the Khangar, whose name derives from their traditional role as village watchmen, a duty they once performed as personal attendants in royal households They are an Indigenous people, with Dahait as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Bundeli.
