The Khavar of India

The Khavar of India, numbering approximately 188,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a distinct Hindu caste/community in western India (especially Gujarat), historically descended from royal servants (“Khawas”) who formed a hereditary social group with their own clans, identity, and traditions They are an Indigenous people, with Khavar as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Rajasthani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Gujarati.
