The Ghasi of India, numbering approximately 704,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a Scheduled Caste of northern India whose name means fish killer, honored with the title Naik for their musical skill, traditionally serving as drum-beaters, fishermen, and cultivators They are an Indigenous people, with Ghasi / Ghasiya as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Bihari people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Hinduism. They primarily speak Hindi.
