The Ghirath of India, numbering approximately 373,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a large Himachal Pradesh community also known as Bahti, whose name derives from ghritam, meaning ghee, or bahna, meaning to plough, both signifying their traditional occupation of agriculture and animal husbandry They are an Indigenous people, with Ghirath / Ghirth as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Rajasthani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Kangri.
