The Kolta of India

The Kolta of India, numbering approximately 828,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a landowning agricultural community of Balangir, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh districts in Odisha. Cultivation remains their main occupation, supplemented by cattle and goat rearing. They are an Indigenous people in the Odia people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Chhattisgarhi and their primary religion is Hinduism.
