They are a subgroup of the broader Quechua-speaking indigenous population of the Andes, specifically centered in and around the city of Cusco (Cuzco) in southeastern Peru. and can also be known as Cuzco Quechua. They are an Indigenous people, in the Quechua people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion. They primarily speak Quechua, Cusco.
