The Surinamers of Suriname, numbering approximately 1,700 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Dutch-speaking Afro-Caribbean ethnic group of mixed African, European, and Asian ancestry whose identity is linked to the culture of Suriname. They are an Indigenous people, in the Afro-Caribbean people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Protestantism. They primarily speak Dutch.
