They are an ethnolinguistic community of Colombia and can also be known as Come masa, Taibano, Taiwano, Barasana, Barasano, Banera yae, Paneroa, Comematsa, Janera, Edulia, Hanera oka, Taiwaeno, Southern Barasano, Barasana, Eduria. They are an Indigenous people, in the Amazon people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion - Animism. They primarily speak Barasana-Eduria.
