The Jita of Tanzania

The Jita of Tanzania, numbering approximately 598,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are described as an ethnic and linguistic community of northwestern Tanzania, living mainly along the southeastern shore of Lake Victoria in the Mara Region, especially around Musoma District and can also be known as Wajita. They are an Indigenous people, with Jita as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Bantu, Central-Lakes people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is African Traditional Religion. They primarily speak Jita.
