They are an ethnolinguistic subgroup of the Dogon tribe indigenous to the Bandiagara Escarpment of Mali and can also be known as Dogoso, Bangeri, Jamsay. They are an Diaspora people, in the Gur people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion - African Traditional Religion. They primarily speak Dogon, Toro So.
