They are an Arabian ethnic group indigenous to the Al-Mahra governorate in Yemen and the Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates of Oman . They are an Indigenous people, in the Arab, Arabian people cluster of the Arab World affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni. They primarily speak Mehri.
