They are an ethnolinguistic Nubian people indigenous to the Nile valley of southern Egypt and northern Sudan. They are an Indigenous people, in the Nubian people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni. They primarily speak Andaandi.
