The Cong of Vietnam

The Cong of Vietnam, numbering approximately 2,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a small Indigenous community in northwestern Vietnam, primarily in Lai Châu and Điện Biên provinces—especially in Mường Tè and Nam Nhun districts, along the Da River region. They are also known as Phunoi, Phu Noi, Phounoi, Cống, Côông. They are an Diaspora people in the Other Tibeto-Burmese people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Côông and their primary religion is Animism.
