The Ewenki of China, numbering approximately 29,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a small, officially recognized ethnic minority of China, part of the wider Evenki/Tungusic peoples of North Asia. The Ewenki are historically forest hunters and herders, with some becoming steppe pastoralists They are an Indigenous people, with Ewenki (Evenki) as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Altaic people cluster of the Turkic Peoples. Their primary religion is Shamanism. They primarily speak Evenki.
