The Wanetsi of Pakistan

The Wanetsi of Pakistan, numbering approximately 9,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a small Pashtun ethnolinguistic community of northern Balochistan (Pakistan), defined primarily by their use of Wanetsi (Waṇetsi)—a rare and archaic Eastern Iranian language that is related to, but distinct from Pashto. They are an Indigenous people in the Pashtun people cluster of the Persian-Median Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Waneci and their primary religion is Sunni Islam.
